Daddy’s Creek Go Fast Day will wait at least one more week.

Without favorable conditions, the event’s social media pages announced Thursday that the annual event will not race Jan. 17. Conditions for next weekend look “promising,” and will continue to be updated throughout next week.

Updates on the event, which is held in Crossville, Tenn., release Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week.

It’s held on the first Saturday of the year in which Daddy’s Creek reaches flows between 1.4 feet and 2.5 feet on the gauge.

In the 11th annual Daddy’s Creek Go Fast Day, Shawn Feagin won the Men’s Long Boat Category, while Lucy Bolin took first in Women’s Long Boat.

Micah Cox placed first in the Men’s Short Boat, while Micah Feagin placed first in Women’s Short Boat.
